TRAINING SITES --- CardRunners.
Is it donk fish crappy or is actually useful?
Mod Edit: In reference to Advanced Poker Training.
Hey people's Just come across some software called ADVANCED POKER TRAINING.
Just wondering if anyone out there has used it?
Is it worth the money or is it just a fancy game any opinions?
Hi Vicof, I haven't tried this particular site but I had a quick look at their website.
While it's been said that you shouldn't judge a book by it's cover, I'm a little wary of investing money into anything that promises to improve my technical abilities in some area, with it's promises printed on a website that looks a bit B-gradeish.
Especially if it's promising me the ability to make lots of money with that skill- I don't mean to be overly critical so no offense if the products creator happens to be a pocket-fives member- but if I felt I was in a position to sell someone a skill that was going to make them lots of money, I'd invest some of my own money into a professional looking website.
If you're particularly interested in a training site that offers game simulation as part of their training, you might be interested in Poker Snowie.
It looks much sicker and has a solid team of braniacs behind it.
The support teams good and the software his of good quality and easy to use.
For a beginner to intermediate player I think it's a decent training tool.
If you're not already a member at pocket-fives or some other training site with video please click for source I'd recommend maybe going down that path first though, but that's just one mans opinion.
The best training you'll get though in my opinion, is reading and posting about hands in the strategy forums both here and on other sites like 2+2.
I've got it a month ago and I'm very satisfied.
You will be able to simulate any cash, MTT, SnG and play offline with the best poker engines.
So you don't need to be connected to internet and these poker engines are good enough to train with much better than online play-money opponents.
Advanced stats, showdown calculator, hand evaluator, AI in-game advisor - these options are really helpful and are included in Poker Genius.
I haven't heard of that one before either but that actually sounds pretty cool : Personally I think these kinds of tools are good for plugging some holes in an intermediate level game, or in the case of a beginner developing a solid platform for a player to build on, but beyond beginner-intermediate level players I think they are probably somewhat limited and could probably make your play a little too predictable.
Whether or not playing a predictably solid game is a bad thing or not though I guess depends on the game you're playing in.
Also, to be fair though I'm going to say that about anything or anyone that tells me betting my quads for value oop on the river on a draw connected board is a significant error ahem- poker snowie-ahem :p But none the less I'm not going to knock on anything that encourages someone to review their hands- whether live or simulated this is one of the best ways to improve, bested only by seeking an external opinion on those hands.
Thanks for the advice guys I might jump on board with snowie see what its got to say I've been working a lot on my game since the start of the year but it gets kinda annoying when you just can't get value from your hands when running deep in tourneys I defs have to reevaluate late stage tournament play and im kinda hoping that snowie my give me a bit more advice on value betting hands and gaining chips not giving them away because I don't recognize a thin value bet I came across advanced poker training on my Facebook page through a card runners link so I wasn't too sure of it I thought the exact same thing as you greave doggy I just don't want to be taken for a ride from a pokersnowie twoplustwo that nobodys heard off : I get it.
Seeing most online phenoms.
They all played a lot, reviewed hh, has great poker friends who help, are members of training sites or get one on one from pros.
My question is for a micro mtts who is barely getting profit and break even at best.
What training site that specialize in mtt is good for players at my level who prefers in a cheaper range or if there are free training site or is pocket fives and twoplustwo forums enough to make u a great player.
While PocketFives training is awesome, I don't think they focus much on micros.
I'm sure you could find free content on youtube too but you get what you pay for usually.

Step 1: Learn the game To learn the fundamental strategy of mtt, reading a book is the cheapest option and there are many great ones to choose from.
Step 2: Find a HUD After learning the fundamentals, I'd look into a HUD.
Step 3: Work on your game through playing tournaments, finding a style that suits your taste LAG, TAG, I wouldn't recommend a passive style because for me it's easier to read a person's strength by being the aggressor and applying the pressure instead of hoping to trap and play the guesswork.
It takes time and practice to use this "feeling" to create a formula that is successful.
Certain players intrigued me and it lead me to this site when googling their screen name.
Step 6: Once you've assimilated all these skills and need to advance your game to the next level, videos from successful pros will help get you there.
Plenty of options to choose from.
Also at this point you should begin networking and finding peers to collaborate and discuss particular hands and thought processes.
First time posting here.
Reviewing them they seem to be mostly online poker based.

I'm not really sure to be honest.
With live play, you can't make videos of your play and don't have saved HHs, so it'd have to be more lecture format vs reviewing hands.
That's more difficult to create, so I wouldn't expect there to be much out there.
I want to be successfulim starting from the ground floor again.
Here's the link on P5s to a bunch of coaches - Rates vary a lot as does what type of training experience they have.
GL Hey people's Just come across some software called ADVANCED Click here TRAINING.
Just wondering if anyone out there has used it?
Is it worth the money or is it just a fancy game any opinions?
I kind of like Advanced Poker Training they've now added Lauren Kling, Scott Clements and Jonathan Little to their pro line up.
You can do a beat the wild no deposit codes 2020 challenge and look at your plays, their plays and their plays with commentary and see what you did differently.
It used to be primarily for cash and it does lean more towards live style play but they are adding a decent amount of MTT stuff now.
The bots aren't great and don't really adjust so that is the biggest downside but I have found it useful.
My down swings tilt me though so I do stupid stuff trying to make up and flog off 30+buyins on high variance games with no cashes lmao but seriously thanks for the advice; Quick post to thank all who have contributed to P5s training last few years.
Always seemed to be something for everyone.
Please keep us posted on where we can find you in the future.
Also, just noticed, isn't about time to clean up the coaches page a little?
I have watched some Gripsed training videos on youtube and logged into his stream a few times.
He has a ton of poker knowledge that he has to share and its pretty informative, but I can not stand his personality.
It just comes across as too much ego for me even though you can tell he is a super genuine guy.
I much prefer JAson Somerville's Run it UP but it is a little dry on the actual poker content and is usually just him making funny voices and waving his hands in front of the camera.
Are there any other videos I should watch that are free that are filled with the quality of poker content of Gripsed just without the whole Gripsed ego Sounds more like you are giving your opinion than asking it.
Honestly, Gripsed is way beyond JCarver although I enjoy listening to both of them.
And I would venture to say that Gripsed doesn't have a huge ego, he's very bright and his intelligence to me is quite entertaining because he is picking apart the game on a complex level and to put his videos on Youtube for free, that's a treasure chest right there.
Not gonna find really any other free videos that even come close to Gripsed.
Gotta join a training site for good content--highly recommend it.
On a further note, doesn't poker involve a ton of strip vegas gambling best 2020 on anyways?
There are tons of greats with egos that are quite enjoyable players.
And yes i love to watch his vids when im not doing much.
The guy is funny as hell and makes money, And i dare say ego usually has a price tag.
So free vids and a ton of info i doubt a guy with a huge ego does it for free.
He seems like a pretty cool guy that's not trying to rape the new guy to poker.
I personally always surf the web for new thinking and concepts anyway, So you can be the biggest asshole ever.
I just discovered Gripsed 3 days ago and I have to say I'm very impressed.
I think this has a lot to do with his success and when I click at this page about it, if you come to it in a state where you are heavily influenced by negative thoughts and emotions then of course someone who is the polar opposite is going to grate on you a little bit, but if you want to succeed you have to stay motivated or you slip into bad cycles.
In the actual review and strategy videos he's a little more reserved and gets the information across clearly and concisely.
There's a good range of content there and plenty of low and middle stakes MTT strategy, which is primarily what I'm about.
For me though the star of the show is the emphasis on performance enhancement and the mental side of the game.
Staying motivated and managing my approach to grinding has always been a challenge for me and it's really refreshing to find a site that emphasises this aspect of the game so much.
Having and maintaining a good attitude, working harder and smarter and being a good self manager is the key to success in my opinion.
I can see from my own results that success has come primarily during periods when I've made real efforts to be dedicated to improving and failure has been, well, as a result of taking success for granted and, frankly, becoming complacent.
As to the people saying they thought he was egotistical I'd have to beg to differ.
I think he has high self esteem which is NOT the same as being 'egotistical' or 'arrogant' So yeah, guess I'm becoming a bit of a fanboy :P.
I'm not sure if this will be a very welcome post based on the fact that pocket fives has their own training section but I wanted to get peoples opinions on what they feel the best site is for videos out there.
I have had a pocket fives subscription before and I've also used run it once essential, not elite - both of these admittingly sparingly.
I want to start studying a lot more and watching more videos etc so I just wanted to get peoples views on the different sites out there and their benefits.
